The purpose of this task order is to conduct a remedial investigation support/feasibility study (RI/FS) at Former Chattanooga Foundries Site to select a remedy that eliminates, reduces, or controls risks to human health and the environment. Specifically, the RI/FS involves the investigation and study of soils and groundwater at the Former Chattanooga Foundries Site. The Former Chattanooga Foundries Site consists of seven residential neighborhoods in downtown Chattanooga where foundry sands obtained from local foundries nearby were used as construction fill and flood control. J5 assisted Black & Veatch in support of EPA’s Remedial Action Contract II (RAC II) at the Southside Chattanooga Lead Site, Chattanooga, TN. J5 assisted Black & Veatch with the collection of environmental sampling in the role of Site Field Supervisor.
